On November 5th, 2015, we celebrated our rich history at the 32nd Annual Heinz S. Weens Memorial Lecture.  The event is held each fall in memory of Dr. Weens, the first chairman of the Department of Radiology and a pioneer in the field of radiology.  This year, we were honored to host Jonathan Woods, an esteemed producer at TIME. Nearly 150 members of the Department and the Emory community attended the captivating presentation, entitled “Making Science Sexy.”  Woods showcased some of his groundbreaking story packages, including: Timelapse, a collaboration with Google using 30 years of satellite images; Deep Dive, a 31-day underwater mission by Fabien Cousteau (grandson of Jacques Cousteau); and a current project, A Year in Space, a series featuring the longest space mission ever attempted by an American astronaut.  Special thanks to all who attended the Weens event this year.  We hope to see you and many members of the Emory community again next year.
