AbdominalThe Division of Abdominal Imaging contributes to the Department through a host of clinical, teaching and research activities. A total of 13 faculty and six fellows provide clinical services at Emory University Hospital, the Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Clinic and the Grady Health System, delivering consistent excellence in diagnostic CT, MR, ultrasound and fluoroscopic imaging. The Division also provides a portion of the interventional service in the form of biopsies and drainage, as well as a variety of tumor destructive procedures - notably radiofrequency ablation (RFA), alcohol ablation and cryoablation. The members of the Division are engaged participants in all Departmental teaching activities, both at the medical student and resident levels. Successful research efforts in MR, CT and tumor ablation techniques have an international reputation and currently involve several research fellows.
