The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging includes a state-of-the-art Cardiac Imaging Center, which represents a collaborative partnership between Radiology and Cardiology. Currently, we have seven radiologists, two cardiologists and one physicist primarily at the main Emory Druid Hills campus, with a growing presence at Grady Memorial Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. State-of-the-art equipment presently in use includes a Siemens Somatom Definition dual-source CT, multiple Siemens Biograph PET-CT scanners, and high-field MR. Members of the division are active in leadership positions in national societies and in both teaching and research. The Emory Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging is a site of the NIH/ACRIN-supported Lung Cancer Screening Trial. The division actively participates in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
