Clinical Divisions - Interventional Radiology & Image Guided Medicine

The primary mission of the Division of Interventional Radiology and Image-Guided Medicine at Emory is to provide safe, effective and advanced minimally-invasive treatments to our patients. The division provides cutting-edge treatments to patients with peripheral vascular disease, vascular malformations, venous disease such as deep venous thrombosis, and performs varicose vein and dialysis interventions. Our interventional radiologists help patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids using innovative non-surgical therapies. We provide comprehensive interventional oncologic care for cancers of liver, kidney, lung, and bone at the world-renowned NCI-designated Emory Winship Cancer Institute. The division's faculty members are field leaders, and serve patients from the initial evaluation to treatment through to careful assessment with personalized care. The clinical activities are supplemented by innovative research, particularly in cancer treatments with embolotherapies, radioembolizations and thermoablations and venous diseases with thrombectomy, thrombolysis, and laser. Teaching is a priority and an integral part of the division. There are 6 ACGME fellows per year participating in the dynamic IR fellowship program.

Top Atlanta Doctors

The Best Doctors in America database includes the names and professional profiles of approximately 45,000 of the best doctors in the United States. An exhaustive peer-review by thousands of doctors determines the physicians included in the database. Only those who earn the consensus support of their peers, as well as meet additional qualification criteria are included. For this reason, inclusion in the Best Doctors in America database is a remarkable honor!
