Parking
The costs of parking at all hospitals are covered by Emory GME

 

Meals on Call
Residents on night call at Emory University Hospitals (Main Campus and Midtown) are allotted a meal stipend.

 

Departmental Benefits 2011-2012

Professional Development Fund (PDF)*:
$600/year (may be used for text books or other educational materials)

 

Meeting Attendance Stipend*:
If presenting: $1250 + costs of meeting registration (no set limit on number of meetings)
Non-presenting: $1000 (one allowed per residency)
3 days off of clinical duty allotted as "meeting days"

 

AIRP Travel stipend*:
 $1300 (Also, one year’s worth of PDF may be reallocated to AIRP travel)

 

Vacation:
15 vacation days per year
During R1 year, all 15 days are flexible*.
During R2-R4 years, 10 of 15 days are flexible.  Five days are fixed by request before the start of the academic year*.

 

Radiology Resident Lounge
 Newly renovated
 Includes a bedroom with television, kitchen, and PACS workstation for use on call

 

Radiology Library
Multitude of radiology textbooks, videos, and digital materials available
Video podcast library of our noon-conference lectures on iTunes U.
We currently have online access to StatDx and RadPrimer
The purchase of new books/materials is overseen by residents on our Library Committee
