Career Sketch: Russell Folks came to Emory Hospital in 1980 as a clinical nuclear medicine technologist. He has since worked as a supervising tech, research tech and research associate in the School of Medicine. Currently his work includes software development, as well as image processing and data management for various research projects in cardiac and renal nuclear medicine. He has enjoyed programming in 6 computer languages, has been co-author on 41 published papers and over 100 abstracts, has developed several software user manuals, and implemented two web pages. He is also interested in expanding the educational opportunities for nuclear medicine technologists. His other interests include running, music and films.
