Career Sketch: Dr. Faber has been at Emory since 1992; previously she was also on the faculty at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is a member of the program faculty in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory and Georgia Tech, and the Computing and Visualization Lab at Georgia Tech. Her research focuses on computer aided diagnosis from medical images. This involves restoration, segmentation, labeling, registration, and 3D visualization. While most of here work has been in nuclear cardiology, current projects also involve processing of PET brain imagery and cardiac CT.
