Career Sketch: Dr. Goodman joined Emory University in 1993 from Department of Radiology, University of Tennessee Medical Center. Dr. Goodman is the Director of Positron Emission Tomograhy Core and serves on the following Committees at Emory: PET Operations, PET Research, Brain Tumor Executive Committee. His bibliography includes 127 articles 25 book chapters 156 abstracts. Dr. Goodman’s research interests encompass PET and SPECT radiotracer development of oncology, brain and heart agents. has resulted in the translation of the first reported synthetic amino alicyclic acid radiolabeled with the PET radioelement fluorine-18 for imaging both intracranial tumors and prostate cancer in patients. In applied research Dr. Goodman’s interests include the development of automated devices to facilitate the use of new radiotracers in clinical medicine.
