Career Sketch: Hyunsuk Shim, PhD became a faculty member of Emory University in 2002, when she joined the department of Hematology and Oncology. As of July 2007, Dr. Shim will be applying her wide experience and knowledge as an Assistant Professor in the department of Radiology. Dr. Shim has been involved with the development for the CXCR4 chemokine receptor and is a Co-Founder of Metastatix, Inc. Metastatix is an Emory-associated harmaceutical company built on an idea of developing and commercializing effective small-molecule drug therapies that are easy to take and have the fewest possible side effects.
