Career Sketch: Mark E. Mullins, MD, PhD, a four-time graduate of Harvard University, is Assistant Professor of Radiology, Neurology and neurological Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia where he is Associate Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency, clinical Director of Stroke Imaging and Director of Neuroradiology Education. He holds American Board of Radiology certification in both Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology. His primary clinical and clinical research interests include stroke and brain tumor imaging. His PhD work centered on structure-function correlation with spectroscopy, a form of molecular imaging which is now showing utility in the imaging characterization of brain tumors. Dr. Mullins is very committed to excellence in education, having been a teacher for over 15 years in various contexts. He has held several positions of leadership in local, regional and national groups, presented frequently at meetings, been an innovator in education, clinical research and practice and has published frequently as a Resident, Fellow and Attending Radiologist.
