Career Sketch: Mr. Armstrong served in the US Army for numerous years after graduating from high school in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was a member of the 267th Chemical Corps before reenlisting for the Army's radiology program to work as a radiographer. He was honorably discharged from the Army after his last duty assignment as an Assistant Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Troop Medical Clinic #8 at Fort Hood, Texas. He moved to Tampa, Florida in 1980 and worked as a radiographer while attending the University of South Florida's Pre-Vetinary Medicine Program. Soon after, Mr. Armstrong accepted the Director of Radiology position at Good Samaritan Hospital (now University Community Hospital - Carrollwood) in Tampa, Florida. He worked at University Community Hospital Medical Center retiring as the Radiology Operations Manager after 26 years with University Community Health. In January 2007, Mr. Armstrong moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to join the Radiology Department at Emory University Hospital Midtown as the Assistant Director of Imaging Services.
