Career Sketch: Dr. Maria Fernandez Chahine has been at Emory since 1989 when she was a fellow in Abdominal Imaging. Dr. Chahine enjoys teaching and served as Director of the Senior Medical Student and Intern Radiology elective from 1992-1999. Her research, publications and invited lectures have focused on a variety of topics including imaging of the liver and pancreatic transplants. Her ability to speak fluent Spanish has allowed Dr. Chahine to give invited Radiology lectures in Spanish at conferences in the United States and in Argentina. Dr. Chahine has also served as a reviewer with distinction for Radiology and AJR.
