Career Sketch: Barbara Peck is originally from Michigan where she attended Michigan State University. She relocated to St. Louis, Missouri and transferred to the University of Missouri – Columbia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science Degree. She became a registered radiographer in 1984 and has worked as a radiologic technologist in Michigan, Missouri, and Georgia in both hospital and clinic settings. Ms. Peck has held both staff and administrative positions in radiology. She has been a faculty member at Emory University since 1992. Mrs. Peck obtained advanced certification in Quality Management through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in 1999. In the Medical Imaging Program Mrs. Peck teaches two general Anatomy courses and a Cross Sectional Anatomy course. She also teaches Quality Control, Image Processing Technique, Procedures V, Business Communication, and team teaches Evaluation and Measurement and Healthcare Finance. Mrs. Peck is also responsible for overseeing the clinical component of the medical imaging program and the practicum portion of the management track. She has lectured at the local and state level and is a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association.
