Educational Programs

Education is a top priority at the Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Radiology.  Being one of the largest academic radiology departments in the country allows us to have access to large numbers of patients, cutting edge technology and some of the best and brightest students, trainees, and faculty.  This is complemented by a friendly atmosphere and the feeling of being a family and we are very proud of this:  being able to provide an educational environment that offers exceptional opportunities while being part of a team that you would enjoy working with.

Emory has very diverse and quite complementary venues in which to learn and practice Radiology.  The number and breadth of case mix is outstanding and perhaps unparalleled.  Our trainees routinely are involved with the healthcare of patients at the Emory University Hospital, the Emory Clinic, Grady Memorial Hospital, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta -Egleston Hospital, the Atlanta Veteran's Administration Hospital and Emory Crawford Long Hospital.  We offer an excellent combination of hands-on learning and organized teaching.

Our programs provide excellent opportunities for trainees to teach, do research and engage in stimulating academic endeavors.  In addition, we have significant involvement with our School of Medicine including several courses and clerkships either run by Faculty within our Department or with our Faculty prominently featured.

Emory Radiology has a long history of excellence regarding our education programs but do not rest on those laurels.  We are constantly looking for ways to improve, innovate, lead and develop.  Hopefully you will want to join us!
