Musculoskeletal Imaging

DIRECTOR: Michael R. Terk, MD, Professor of Radiology, Director, Division of Musculorskeletal Imaging, Musculoskeletal Fellowship Program Director

PROGRAM:  The division offers a one year fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging. The fellowship features training in plain film, CT and MRI interpretation of bone, joint and spine pathology. There are a significant number of procedures performed at Executive Park and at Emory Hospital including bone and spine biopsies. The program strives to prepare individuals for an academic or specialized private practice career.

FACULTY AND EQUIPTMENT:  This fellowship will give you the opportunity to interact with the established specialists of the Emory Ortho & Spine Center.  This fellowship includes experience at the Emory Executive Park, Emory University Hospital and The Emory Clinic.

FACILITIES: Fellows will utilize CT units and the newly installed 1.5T and 3T GE MRI units and become proficient in detecting the abnormalities, which may not have been visible without the use of this cutting-edge technology.

PATIENT POPULATION:  The division of Musculoskeletal Imaging is routinely involved with Grady Memorial Hospital and performs reads for Emory University Hospital and The Emory Clinic.

RESEARCH: The fellowship program embraces the importance of continued education and will require participation research endeavors.
