Career Sketch: Before entering medical school at Tulane, Dr. Berkowitz completed his PhD in biochemistry at West Virginia University, then worked in the field of cancer cell biology research. He was in the midst of his residency at Tulane when Katrina hit in 2005 and he was an advocate for the relocation of radiology residents whose training programs were affected by the hurricane and its aftermath. Dr. Berkowitz comes to us from UT/Houston where he completed his fellowship in Thoracic Imaging. Recently, Dr. Berkowitz became a New Associate Clerkship Director.
