Thank you for interest in applying to the Emory University Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. Our applicants come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We seek candidates who have diversity in both their academic and personal experiences. For this application year, we plan to have 16 PGY-2 Diagnostic Radiology resident positions available.
Applications for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program (PGY-2 through PGY-5) and the Preliminary Radiology Transitional Program (PGY-1) must be made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All of our Diagnostic Radiology Residency positions are filled through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
Application Requirements:
1. MyERAS application including your personal statement
2. Three letters of recommendation
3. Medical school transcript
4. Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE), formerly known as the "Dean's Letter"
5. Passing scores on USMLE Step I and II (CK and CS). Only your score on USMLE Step I is required to submit an application
Applications are accepted after September 1 of each application year. All application materials must be received by November 15; materials received after that date may not be considered. Our receipt of the medical school transcript and all other application materials, with the exception of the Dean's letter by October 1 may facilitate early screening of your application for interview.
A personal interview is required and is granted at the discretion of the Program Director and/or Residency Selection Committee. Each application is reviewed in total, taking into consideration all aspects of the applicant's experiences, including USMLE score, letters of recommendation, evaluations/grades during your preclinical and clinical years, membership in AOA and research. Applicants for a PGY-2 position will be considered for an interview after a completed application is received. If an interview is offered, the applicant will be contacted by the Residency Program Director's office.
